Managing call centers
Jean-Philippe Vial gave a seminar at the University of Tilburg and makes a presentation at the Optimization Days in Montreal (May) on a recent contribution on the scheduling of the workforce of a call center with uncertain call arrival rates. The imperfect knowledge on the rates is handled by distributionally robust optimization. The research is a joint work with S. Liao (Ecole Centrale, Paris) and C. van Delft (HEC, Paris).
